"Being a young filmmaker from one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town -- South Africa, it is hard to not be inspired by the world around me.

Recently, when shooting a documentary in a local informal settlement I was driven to create this piece; being faced with how people in this community with close to nothing can be constantly happy. They are not oblivious to crime and hardship as they live in the center of it, but yet they have created a solution to find a way to celebrate the small things.

My call to action is to challenge you to wake up in the mornings and celebrate your surroundings, it's that simple" - Dan Mace
