"If you are finally tired of suffering, simply choose again. And this time, choose Love".
The revelation was given to an ordinary person (who has chosen to remain anonymous) and passed on to the world in 2006. This is that person's account: "I had always had a sense of the spiritual. In my youth, I attended church quite often, Catholic, Protestant, and Evangelical. In addition, I studied other religions and philosophies. I was, however, unsatisfied that I had found the truth. The picture of the Source, or Creator, that religions painted was at odds with my personal experience of it. I found the image of a vengeful, wrathful, punishing God in direct contradiction to a creator of a remarkable universe, so perfectly in balance. I found the idea of going to God with a list of things I wanted and then waiting to see if I have been good enough to get them reflective of Santa Claus and not a source of abundance. And I found the concept of fearing God to be impossible if I was to love the Creator. Fear and love can not co-exist. Having read the bible, I was familiar with the verse that says, "Ask, and it shall be given you", but I never knew that just a thought could be considered "asking". The thought was that I wanted to understand, to know the truth about this thing we call "God." I wanted to go beyond the mortal definitions and descriptions. This thought escaped me in the first years of the 1970s and would set me off on a long, convoluted path that would culminate in receiving the answer from the Source, Love, Itself. It took decades to replace my thinking with that of the Source. I had been conditioned to believe that It thinks like we do, that the Source has emotions and moods and that those influence the outworking. But what I came to realize is that the opposite is true; the Source is constant, steady and reliable. Its thought doesn't change a bit, ever. This led me to the revelation of the true nature of the Creator. In 2006, over thirty years after my wondering began and at a particularly low point in my human life, the thought was in me, "It's time". It came through me, not from me. 'Conversations with God'(CwG) is a sequence of books written by Neale Donald Walsch as a dialogue in which Walsch asks questions and God answers.The first book of the Conversations with God series, Conversations with God, Book 1: An Uncommon Dialogue, appeared on bookshelves in 1995, and quickly became a publishing phenomenon, staying on the New York Times Best-Sellers List for 137 weeks. The succeeding volumes in the trilogy also appeared prominently on the List.
