The New Tools A metaphor: You are a carpenter. You go to sleep one night and wake up to find that your old tools are still there, but next to them is a case that says, "There are new power tools in this case." There you stand with the decision to open the new case with free choice, or not. Do you understand that the new tools don’t change anything as they just sit there on the floor? Some won’t want the new tools. Some won’t believe that they’re real, and some will actually fear them. It’s Human nature that some will go on a quest to find out who put them there before they’ll open the box, and others will wish to have a book written on the best way to open the box. Relation to the Ancients What is your relation to the Ancients? Not the immediate ones that we spoke of earlier, but the ones that were here thousands of years ago? Did you know they knew about Gaia? Did you know they celebrated magnetics? You probably didn’t put that together, did you? The Ancients of this planet, in their ceremonies, would often give honor to the east, the south, the north, and the west [not in that order]. What were they doing? They were celebrating the directions of the magnetics of the planet. They were sensing the energy of the grids, which helped to give them balance and life. Did you know that many of the Ancients actually hunted the animals they needed for food, using grid lines? This was possible, because they knew the animals tended to create paths that aligned with the directions of the compass [migration lines]. The Ancients counted on Gaia for survival in ways that you’ve lost in your day. I ask it again, what is your relationship to the Ancestors, and to Gaia? The Hemispheres The wisdom of the Ancients in the Southern Hemisphere is beginning to replace the wisdom of the Ancients in the North. And you’re starting to see a softer Human Being. Spiritually, the old souls are alerted to this shift first and are beginning to receive the biological changes. You expected it and it’s here. This process is being felt by the entire planet. Yet after all these years, there is one rainbow scientists do not fully understand--the "twinned bow." Jan Curtis photographed this specimen on June 2nd from Cheyenne, Wyoming:  "This is only the 3rd time I've ever seen a rare 'twinned rainbow'," says Curtis. "It followed a heavy storm with hail."
"Several twinned bows have been imaged, mostly during heavy showers, but currently there is no agreed explanation for them," writes atmospheric optics expert Les Cowley. "They might form from a mixture of water drops and ice spheres." Indeed, Curtis notes, "hail can be seen falling right under the primary rainbow." "A stronger possibility is that non-spherical raindrops produce one or both bows," Cowley adds. "Surface tension forces keep small raindrops fiercely spherical but as they fall large drops are flattened by air resistance or might even oscillate between flattened and elongated spheroids." www.spaceweather.com

Want to discover something new? Keep an eye on the tops of thunderstorms. Sprites, trolls, elves and pixies: These are just a handful of the exotic phenomena that have surprised researchers monitoring cloudtops since the 1980s. In fact, a new one has just been discovered. Introducing, the Green Ghost.
Thomas Ashcraft caught one over New Mexico on May 25th. Play his movie, and look for the green afterglow following the flash of this magnificent jellyfish sprite:
"In the past week I've captured two Green Ghosts over west Texas that were generated by strong peak current lightning strokes," says Ashcraft. "The one on May 25th registered 118 kAmperes on the National Lightning Detection Network and saturated VLF lightning sensors as far away as Great Britain and Germany."
"As far as I know there are no scientific journal articles regarding this new phenomenon and a handful of citizen scientists are leading the way," says Ashcraft. Green Ghosts were discovered only 1 year ago by Hank Schyma, a Houston Texas-based storm chaser better known to his fans as Pecos Hank. "It was May 25, 2019," recalls Schyma. "I video-recorded some sprites over a storm in Oklahoma. Later, when I reviewed the footage, I noticed a mysterious green afterglow above some of the larger sprites." Schyma worked closely with another storm chaser, Paul M. Smith. "We shared the footage with scientists and others on social media. Nobody had heard of it before. Many argued it might be a camera sensor artifact. Over the following weeks and months, Paul captured multiple other ghosts at high resolution, silencing the skepticism." At the moment, no one knows for sure what causes Green Ghosts. Their color may be a clue. Green is commonly seen in auroras and airglow, two upper atmospheric phenomena that get their verdant hue from excited atoms of oxygen. The same could hold true for Green Ghosts. When the tops of strong sprites hit the airglow layer 96-97 km above Earth's surface, oxygen atoms might briefly glow green. Right or wrong, this hypothesis inspired the name Ghost. "It is an acronym for Green emissions from excited Oxygen in Sprite Tops," explains Schyma. "More importantly, we named them ghosts to maintain the theme of other transient luminous events such as sprites, trolls, elves and pixies." In the USA, sprite season is just getting underway as summer approaches, bringing severe electrical storms. Stay tuned for more ghost stories. |
